Union Minister U Aung Myo Min, Ministry of Human Rights (MOHR), and Deputy Minister Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo, Ministry of Defence (MoD) met with the former Defence Minister Mr. Nakatani and members of the Non-Partisan Parliamentary Association for Reconsidering Human Rights Diplomacy (NPARHRD) from Japan.

Two NUG’s ministers elucidated and presented current issues of the military council’s continuous human rights violations since the coup; policies and rules of engagement of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) which was recently established as well as the work and effort put in by the MOHR ensuring martial law, procedure, and code of conduct of the PDF are in line with international law of war or law of armed conflicts.

According to the Japanese delegation, the Japanese government is working to draft a law which will enable to take action against countries which commit human rights abuses and violations, similar action and law was developed and imposed on the North Korean government in the past as such abuses and violations had direct impact on Japan’s national interest, and thus similar efforts were currently being made to enact a law to take action against human rights abuses and violations in Myanmar.

The Union Minister (UM) further discussed that every country is responsible for such an effort and thus Japan as a nation is on the track on bringing the rule of law. The UM added that it is of utmost importance that the Japanese government and the people do not support the military council, to impose series of sanctions against the military, to cease and prevent all economic and investment cooperation, and urged the Japanese government to support and advocate ASEAN and other regional blocs to recognise and collaborate with the NUG. Besides, the UM further stressed and urged the Japanese government to take practical actions against the military council rather than issuing statements and providing mere lip service.

Both ministers call on the Japanese government to directly cooperate and support the NUG and urge and plead to provide humanitarian and other aids. The former Japanese DM, Mr. Nakatani, pledged that he is in solidarity with the people of Myanmar who are fighting for democracy and the NUG, he will continue to campaign assistance and aid from Japan will only be for the benefit of the people of Myanmar, work towards establishing and implementing a law which will enable to take action against countries that violate human rights as previously discussed, and that he will continue to find ways to work together with the people of Myanmar and the NUG.

အမျိုးသားညီညွတ်ရေးအစိုးရ NUG နှင့် တိုက်ရိုက်ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီး လူသားချင်းစာနာမှုအကူအညီ၊ အထောက်အပံ့များအပြင် တခြားသောလိုအပ်ချက်ရှိမည့် အစီအစဥ်များကိုဖော်ဆောင်ရန် တိုက်တွန်း‌ ဆွေးနွေးပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။

ဆက်လက်၍ ဂျပန်နိုင်ငံ၏ ကာကွယ်ရေးဝန်ကြီးဟောင်းက ပြောကြားရာတွင် အမျိုးသားညီညွတ်ရေးအစိုးရ NUG အပါအဝင် ဒီမိုကရေစီ အရေး တိုက်ပွဲဝင်နေသည့် မြန်မာ ပြည်သူများနှင့် အတူ တစ်သွေးတည်း၊တစ်သားတည်းရှိ နေပါကြောင်း၊ ဂျပန်အစိုးရ၏ ဆောင်ရွက်နေမှုများနှင့်အကူအညီ အထောက်အပံ့များကို မြန်မာပြည်သူများအကျိုးရှိမည့်မှန်ကန်သည့်လမ်းကြောင်းအတိုင်း ဖြစ်စေရေးအတွက် ဆက်လက်တောင်းဆို‌ ပေးသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါကြောင်း၊ ယခု အစည်းအဝေးတွင် ဆွေးနွေးထားရှိခဲ့သည့် လူ့အခွင့်အရေး ချိုးဖောက်နေသော နိုင်ငံများအပေါ် အပြစ်ပေးအရေးယူနိုင်သည့် ဥပဒေ တစ်ရပ် အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီး မြန်မာပြည်သူလူထုနှင့် အမျိုးသားညီညွတ်ရေးအစိုးရNUG ကို ယခုထက် ပိုမို ပြည့်ဝစွာ အားဖြည့်အကူညီ‌ ပေးနိုင်မည့် အခြားနည်းလမ်းများကိုလည်း ဆက်လက် လုပ်ဆောင်သွားမည် ဖြစ်ပါကြောင်း ကတိပေး ပြန်လည်ဆွေးနွေးပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။
