The NUG’s Union Minister U Aung Myo Min and Deputy Minister Baham Htan met with the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and youth group based in Melbourne, Australia on 15th May 2021. The CRPH Australia was formed with the supporters of CRPH Myanmar from different states and territories.

At the meeting, the minister expressed his happiness and gratitude to the international organisations outside of Myanmar for supporting the Spring Revolution any way they can and encouraged and urged them to continue their support for the movement.

The minister urged the CRPH Australia to strongly lobby the Australian Government as Australia is geographically close to the ASEAN and politically connected to the western countries, thus the Australian government can make good use of its foreign policy on Myanmar, Australia is in a good position to take diplomatic action against the Myanmar military and pushes other countries to follow suit, Australia should put pressure on ASEAN to make its sanctions more effective, while at the same time, can be a key player to strengthen the west’s economic sanctions and investment bans against the military council.

Meanwhile, the minister welcomed the Australian government’s decisions to impose arms embargoes which ceases arms sale to the Myanmar military council and allowing Myanmar citizens who are in Australia to stay here until they are safe to return home. However, he also called on the Myanmar communities here to work harder in lobbying the government to do more for the other countries in the region.

ထို့ပြင် ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီးသည် မေလ (၁၆) ရက်နေ့က သြစတြေးလျနိုင်ငံရောက် လူငယ်များက စီစဉ်ကျင်းပခဲ့သည့် “လမ်းမများပေါ်မှ သွေးစက်များ -Blood on the Streets” တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးပွဲအစီအစဥ်တွင် အဖွင့်မိန့်ခွန်းပြောကြားခဲ့ပါတယ်။ တိုက်ရိုက်ပြောကြားခဲ့သည့် အဖွင့်မိန့်ခွန်းတွင် ဝန်ကြီးက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးတိုက်ပွဲအောင်မြင်ရေးအတွက် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားတိုင်းသာမက နိုင်ငံတကာက ဝိုင်း၀န်းလုပ်ဆောင်နေသည့်အကြောင်းကို အထူး၀မ်းသာမိပါကြောင်း၊ NUG အစိုးရအနေဖြင့် ပြည်တွင်းရှိ ပြည်သူများ၏ ဆက်လက်ကြိုးပမ်းမှုအပြင် ပြည်ပရောက် မြန်မာများနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာ၏ အားပေးထောက်ခံမှုကို အထူးသဖြင့် လိုအပ်နေပါကြောင်း၊ ပြည်တွင်းအားနှင့် ပြည်ပအားကို ဟန်ချက်ညီညီ ပေါင်းစပ်ပြီး NUG အနေဖြင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးကိစ္စများ ပိုမို၍ကောင်းမွန်လာအောင်လုပ်ဆောင်သွားမည် ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ NUG အစိုးရအနေဖြင့် ဝေဖန်ထောက်ပြမှုများကို လက်ခံကြိုဆိုပါကြောင်း၊ အကြံဉာဏ်များပေးနိုင်သည့် လမ်းကြောင်းများလည်း ဖွင့်ထားပါကြောင်း နှင့် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်မည့် လမ်းကြောင်းများကိုလည်း လက်ကမ်းကြိုဆိုပါကြောင်း အဖွင့်မိန့်ခွန်းတွင် ထည့်သွင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့ပါတယ်။
