Appointees represent various strata of life and were chosen and invited to the group based on their faith in and commitment to human rights principles, as well as their professional experience and expertise in human rights and other related fields.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>The advisory board is comprised of several activists and experts continuously engaged in promotion of women\u2019s and ethnic minorities\u2019 rights, including U Aung Kyaw Moe, human rights activist and Daw May Pale\u2019 Thwe, peace educator and member of Muslim of Myanmar Multi-Ethnic Consultative Committee. The advisory board will be expanded as necessary. <br \/><br \/><\/li><li>The advisory board held its first meeting on August 25, 2021 during which ministry officials discussed documentation of human rights violations, and measures to bring justice for human rights violations and ensure NUG\u2019s functions are in line with human rights norms.
